Antimony Trichloride is a clear, colorless crystalline (sand like) material. It is used to make Antimony salts and drugs, to fireproof textiles, and as a reactant in many organic reactions.
Application:
- Organic reactions: Used as a reactant in many organic reactions
- Vitamin A detection: Used as a reagent to detect vitamin A and related carotenoids
- Steroid detection: Used as a test reagent for steroids, especially diosgenin and yamogenin, in plant tissues
- Fireproofing: Used to fireproof textiles
